Trump explains the reason for his wealth increase
Trump said on July 1 that he has no involvement in his personal finances, even though the day before he reported profits of more than $1.4 billion from his family’s cryptocurrency projects.
The US president noted that the reason many Americans are becoming wealthier is the growth of the US stock market.
"I don't get involved ... We have funds that run my money," Trump told reporters at Joint Base Andrews while preparing to depart for North Dakota.
What is in Trump’s financial disclosure
The US president’s 2025 annual financial disclosure, submitted to the Office of Government Ethics, showed earnings from his companies, including nearly $800 million from World Liberty Financial — a cryptocurrency venture co-founded by Trump’s sons.
The president shares income with family members, including:
- More than $520 million from the sale of cryptocurrency tokens
- More than $250 million from selling stakes in World Liberty business assets
"You know why I'm profiting? Because the stock market's going up, everybody's profiting," Trump said.
Previously, Trump disclosed over $1.4 billion in income from the family’s cryptocurrency ventures, meaning a major share of his earnings comes from digital assets.
The Trump family’s total net worth is estimated at around $6.8 billion. Growth in crypto income has partly offset a decline in the market value of Trump Media & Technology Group, the parent company of Truth Social.
Trump has said he wants to turn the US into a Bitcoin superpower and the crypto capital of the world, arguing that the country should outperform China in this sector.
