US President Donald Trump said he would be very happy if Russian President Vladimir Putin came to this year's G20 summit in Miami, according to Clash Report.
During a press briefing, Trump was asked whether Russian representatives, including Vladimir Putin, would attend the upcoming G20 summit.
"I would certainly love to have Putin at the G20. I don’t know if he’s coming," the US president said.
The G20 summit is scheduled for December 14–15 in Miami.

In the spring of 2026, Donald Trump said he had not invited Vladimir Putin to the G20 summit. However, he stressed that such a visit would be useful.
In September, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the US had invited Putin to the G20 summit. Shortly afterward, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Moscow welcomed the decision and that the matter would be discussed through diplomatic channels.
Against this backdrop, a group of 14 senators from both parties recently urged Trump to revoke the invitation. They stressed that inviting Putin would legitimize Russia's attack on Ukraine.
