US President Donald Trump said that the incursion of Russian drones into Polish territory may have been a mistake, according to the Clash Report.

In particular, journalists asked the president about his reaction to Russian drones crossing into Poland. He responded:

"It could have been a mistake. But regardless, I am not happy about anything having to do with that whole situation," Trump said.

Russian drones in Poland and NATO's response

On the night of September 10, during a massive Russian attack on Ukraine, about 20 Russian drones entered Polish airspace.

To intercept the hostile targets, Poland's Air Force and NATO allies scrambled F-35 and F-16 fighter jets, as well as Mi-24, Mi-17, and Black Hawk helicopters.

Polish air defenses shot down four drones. In addition, after the attack, Polish forces found debris from 16 strike drones.

In response to the Russian attack, NATO invoked Article 4, which allows member states to consult on the situation at the North Atlantic Council.

Bloomberg also reported that following the drone strike, Poland for the first time requested additional air defense and counter-drone systems from NATO.

Furthermore, on the evening of September 11, Bloomberg reported that NATO is preparing defensive military measures in response to Russian drones in Poland. The response will be coordinated by NATO's Supreme Allied Commander Europe, General Alexander Grinkevich.
