US President Donald Trump said that he is not a dictator and would not want to become one. The American leader made this statement while talking to journalists.

Trump noted that some Americans accuse him of becoming a dictator.

"A lot of people are saying maybe we'd like a dictator. I'm not a dictator," the US president emphasized.

According to the American leader, he is "a man with common sense."

Only on August 15, US President Donald Trump met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska. The American leader has also repeatedly stated that he has good relations with Putin.

Protests against Trump

In June, mass protests against Trump took place in the United States under the slogan "No Kings."

Such protests were organized in response to a military parade in Washington, held for Trump's 79th birthday and the 250th anniversary of the US Army.

Also in June, protests were held in the United States against mass immigration raids. To disperse the demonstrations in Los Angeles, 2,000 U.S. National Guard soldiers were deployed.

The memorandum on the deployment of troops in Los Angeles was personally signed by Trump.
