The US Department of Justice published an additional batch of the so-called "Epstein files" online, which mention US President Donald Trump. However, several of the documents were removed from the department’s website just hours later, according to The Telegraph.

On Friday, 30 January, the US Department of Justice released more than three million pages of materials related to the case of Jeffrey Epstein.

Among the documents, the outlet reports, was a file containing unverified allegations collected by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in August last year. The file included claims of alleged sexual abuse of a minor and references to so-called "orgy parties" involving US President Donald Trump.

All of the statements cited in the file came from third parties, were not corroborated, and, according to the authorities, were never assessed by the FBI for credibility.

The Justice Department warned that some of the released materials may contain false and sensational claims submitted ahead of the 2020 election.

Officials at the department and the White House stressed that, had these allegations had any factual basis, they would have long been the subject of an official investigation.

Later, the Justice Department said the document had temporarily disappeared from its website due to "technical overload" and was subsequently restored. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche acknowledged that errors could occur when processing such a large volume of data.

At the same time, the White House cautioned that the Epstein files "may contain fabricated or falsely submitted images, documents or videos", noting that the administration had released "everything that had been submitted to the FBI by the public".

Earlier reports said that an episode referring to an alleged "encounter" between Trump and a minor appeared in files published in late December 2025. According to those materials, the events may have taken place in the 1990s.

Epstein case

On 10 December, a US court authorised the public release of investigation materials related to Epstein. The disclosure became possible after the adoption of legislation aimed at increasing transparency around the so-called Epstein files.

On 19 December, the US Department of Justice began publishing a large new batch of documents. The newly released materials are expected to shed light on Epstein’s links in politics, finance, and the media, as well as on the actions of federal authorities over many years.

Trump is not a defendant in any criminal cases linked to Epstein and has said he cut off contact with the financier long before his arrest.
