Newly released materials in the Jeffrey Epstein case mention the name of US President Donald Trump. The documents report that Trump met a 14-year-old girl at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, according to BBC and the US Department of Justice.

It is noted that the episode is described in a 2020 civil lawsuit filed against Epstein’s estate and Ghislaine Maxwell.

According to the case materials, the events may have taken place in the 1990s. Epstein allegedly nudged Trump with his elbow and jokingly asked if he enjoyed meeting the minor.

Trump, as stated in the files, reportedly smiled and nodded, after which both men laughed. The girl said she felt embarrassed at the time but was too young to understand the reason for such a reaction.

The plaintiff also claims that Epstein abused and psychologically pressured her over many years. At the same time, she does not make any direct accusations against Trump.

The US president denies any wrongdoing. According to him, Epstein had been his friend for many years, but they fell out around 2004 – two years before the financier’s first arrest.

Mentions of Trump in the Epstein files and in photos released recently are minimal.

At the same time, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche noted that “several hundred thousand” pages of documents have not yet been made public.

Epstein case

On December 10, a US court ruled to allow the publication of materials from the investigation of sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The disclosure became possible after the adoption of the Epstein File Transparency Act.

Previously, investigation materials were considered permanently sealed. In August, the court rejected the Department of Justice’s request to release them.

However, due to the Epstein File Transparency Act and growing public interest in possible connections between Epstein and influential people, the issue of releasing the materials became relevant.

The case began in 2005. The investigation identified more than 50 minors who received money from the billionaire for sexual services during 2002-2005.

Epstein died in federal custody in 2019, the official version being suicide. However, the circumstances of his death remain unclear – there is a theory that he could have been eliminated due to dangerous knowledge.

On December 19, the US Department of Justice began publishing a new large array of files related to the financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The materials include testimonies, immunity agreements, internal investigations, and photographs that could shed light on his connections with influential people.

According to the Ministry of Justice, the total volume of documents may reach hundreds of thousands of pages. The first stage of publication has already started, with subsequent parts expected in the coming weeks.
