Trump may end Putin meeting early if no real deal on table - CNN

US President Donald Trump may leave his meeting with Russia's Vladimir Putin early, CNN reports.
An unnamed US official told the agency that in the context of Trump's meeting with Putin, all options remain on the table. In particular, it is said that Trump may simply end the meeting if Putin is not serious about reaching an agreement.
The CNN source also clarified that the White House remains cautiously optimistic about the meeting. According to him, Trump wanted to meet with Putin in person to understand what he thinks about the possibility of a ceasefire.
Trump and Putin are scheduled to meet in Alaska today, August 15.
Russia's ultimatum
Russia has repeatedly rejected proposals from both the US and Ukraine for an unconditional ceasefire.
At the same time, Moscow has developed a so-called memorandum describing its demands for a truce and an end to the war. Russia wants a truce to be reached on the condition that Ukraine begins withdrawing its troops from the Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions.
In Kyiv, in response to this memorandum, they emphasized that it is, in fact, an ultimatum.
On August 1, Vladimir Putin stressed that the conditions for peace with Ukraine remain unchanged.
