Trump makes statement on peace deal and criticizes Zelenskyy: 'We made deal with Russia'

Donald Trump believes that an agreement with Russia on peace has been made, now it's up to Kyiv, according to Trump's press conference in the Oval Office.
The head of the White House stated that he would be able to resolve the war in Ukraine "because of a certain ability."
Trump noted that Russia is ready for negotiations and a peace agreement.
"I think we have a deal with Russia. We have to get a deal with Zelenskyy. And I hope that Zelenskyy... I thought it might be easier to deal with Zelenskyy. So far, it's been harder, but that`s okay. It's alright. But I think we have a deal with both. I hope they do it," Trump said.
Peace talks in London
On Wednesday, April 23, another round of peace talks took place in London with representatives from Ukraine, the UK, France, Germany, and the US.
During the meeting, the American side proposed a new peace plan for Ukraine, under which Washington would recognize Crimea as part of Russia and lift anti-Russian sanctions. In return, the Kremlin would freeze the war.
However, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy rejected this idea.
Trump criticized Zelensky's position. He stated that if the plan is not agreed upon, the war will drag on for a long time, and Ukraine risks losing its independence entirely.
Russia demands that Kyiv cede four regions under its control and promises to end the war.
