Donald Trump made the announcement during a Cabinet meeting, which was held simultaneously with the official opening of the FIFA office in Trump Tower in New York.

The trophy of the Club World Cup will be displayed there.

"I'll be going to the game," Trump told reporters.

Infantino highlights US government support

FIFA President Gianni Infantino noted the significant support from the US government, which is contributing to the successful organization of the tournament.

"We have received such a big support from the government and from the President with the White House Task Force for the FIFA Club World Cup [now] and for the FIFA World Cup next year," said Infantino.

Preparation for the 2026 World Cup

The final, which will be held at the home stadium of the NFL's New York Jets and Giants, aligns with the United States’ preparations to host a record number of teams at the 2026 World Cup.

The FIFA Club World Cup, where the strongest clubs in the world compete, is considered a dress rehearsal for the 2026 tournament.

Trump has repeatedly shown interest in major sporting events. He became the first sitting US president to attend the Super Bowl and also announced that the 2027 NFL Draft would be held in Washington, D.C.

Nevertheless, some of the Trump administration's political decisions, particularly immigration restrictions, have raised concerns among World Cup participants.

However, FIFA assures that the event will be open and welcoming to all participants.

Schedule for the 2025 Club World Cup final matches

The Club World Cup final will take place on July 13, and the semifinal match between PSG and Real Madrid will be held today, July 9, at 10:00 PM Kyiv time.

The first finalist is already known. Chelsea was the first to advance to the FIFA Club World Cup final.
