Russian President Vladimir Putin repeatedly violated agreements with the United States. As a result, Washington decided to issue an ultimatum — US President Donald Trump stated this during a conversation with journalists.

According to him, Washington believed there had been four agreements with the head of the Kremlin. However, those agreements would somehow end with a phone call and a pleasant conversation, after which missiles would be launched at some buildings. Trump noted that he questioned what had just happened in such cases.

He assured that the United States would send NATO a large amount of weapons of all kinds, which would be immediately delivered to the areas where the war is ongoing — in Ukraine.

The President clarified that such deliveries became possible because European countries had agreed to increase their defense spending to 5% of GDP.

Trump expressed hope that everything would end within 50 days. If there is no peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine, the United States would have no choice but to introduce secondary tariffs. He emphasized that secondary tariffs are a rather tough measure and the US would prefer not to apply them, but they would see what happens. He added that it had seemed several times that an agreement had been reached, but each time everything fell apart.

Trump's threats

Today, July 14, US President Donald Trump threatened to impose 100% secondary tariffs against Russia.

According to Trump, Washington will implement such measures if there is no peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia within 50 days.
