Trump is tired of endless talks with Putin, says Estonian president

US President Donald Trump has grown tired of constant negotiations with Russian leader Vladimir Putin over Ukraine, as they have yielded no results, said Estonian President Alar Karis, Postimees reports.
The Estonian leader emphasized that a true victory for Europe will likely come only after Russia’s war against Ukraine ends and European countries can experience peace.
According to Karis, Trump’s position has started to change.
"The American President is also tired of these endless talks with Putin," he said.
Karis added that the question now is whether any upcoming meetings or negotiations between the US president and Putin will change anything.
"But it feels like this boundary has already been crossed," the president added, referring to Trump’s decision to allow Ukraine to strike Russian territory with US weapons.
Trump’s position has changed
Following his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in New York, US President Donald Trump wrote on social media that Ukraine could reclaim territories temporarily occupied by Russia.
According to Trump, this outcome is possible if Ukraine receives support from the European Union.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that Trump’s view changed after meeting with Ukrainian representatives.
