Trump doesn't have any plans to invade Canada - Waltz

Recently, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said that Donald Trump's threat to annex the Canadian state is real. However, the US president has no plans to invade the country, according to Trump's national security adviser, Mike Waltz, NBC News informs.
His remarks follow numerous reports that last week the Canadian prime minister said during a closed-door meeting with business leaders that the Trump administration "keeps talking about taking over" Canada and turning it into the 51st US state.
Waltz also added that many Canadians "do not like the last 10 years of liberal, progressive governance in Trudeau."
"Really, what you’re seeing is a reassertion of American leadership in the Western Hemisphere, from the Arctic all the way down to the Panama Canal... And that’s what we’re talking about, from Greenland to Arctic security to the Panama Canal coming back under the United States," the Trump advisor said.
He noted that the United States has been avoiding its own hemisphere for too long, where it has energy, food, and critical minerals.
Before and immediately after taking office, Donald Trump began to express the idea of making Canada the 51st state of the United States. At the same time, he recently said that he was not considering the use of military force to join the country.
Trudeau recently said on an open microphone that US President Donald Trump's threat to annex Canada is real. The statement was made when he believed that media representatives had been escorted out.
