President Donald Trump underwent a medical examination after experiencing "mild swelling" in his legs and bruising on one arm. He was diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency, The Hill reports.

According to White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, Trump underwent an ultrasound and a "comprehensive exam" that included vascular diagnostic testing. It confirmed that he is suffering from chronic venous insufficiency.

This condition occurs when the veins in a person's legs are unable to properly return blood to the heart, causing it to pool. It is common among individuals over the age of 70.

The White House emphasized that no signs of deep vein thrombosis or arterial disease, which could involve blockages, were detected.

Recent photographs also showed bruising on the back of the president's hand. His physician stated that the marks were "consistent with minor soft tissue damage from frequent handshaking."

The physician noted that the president's daily routine includes numerous meetings, public appearances, media interactions, and frequent wins in golf competitions — an active lifestyle that significantly contributes to his overall well-being.
