US President Donald Trump states that Iran has made significant concessions in the negotiations over the nuclear deal. The United States is lifting its naval blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.

The American leader complains about the large amount of fake news that is allegedly attempting to undermine the US victory.

However, according to him, Iran has "fully and completely" agreed to top-level nuclear inspections for an indefinite period, which, in Trump’s view, will ensure "nuclear honesty."

He emphasizes that without this agreement, further negotiations would have been impossible.

"Based on this and other major concessions being made by Iran, I have agreed to allow the Hormuz Strait to remain open, with no further naval blockade," Trump states.

At the same time, the US President clarifies that all military ships remain in their positions in case the blockade needs to be reinstated, although he calls such a scenario "highly unlikely."

US and Iran

On June 17, the US and Iran remotely signed a memorandum on ending the war and opening the Strait of Hormuz.

This document serves as the basis for working out the details of a final agreement that will cement the ceasefire over the next 60 days.

Trump also stated that the Strait of Hormuz is now fully open: on Sunday, June 21, more oil was shipped through it than ever before.

The US President made it clear that he considers the issue of Iran’s nuclear program a higher priority than even the threat of a global economic crisis.

At the same time, Trump hinted that, if necessary, he is prepared to resume hostilities against Tehran to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons.
