US presidential candidate Donald Trump once again boasted about his good relationship with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. He expressed confidence that under his leadership, terrorists would not have resorted to a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, according to the Republican's interview with Bloomberg.

"Putin and I got along very well, with our relationship. We were never in danger of a war. He would have never gotten into Ukraine. I said, don’t ever, ever go into Ukraine," the Republican said.

He specifically blamed current White House occupant Joe Biden for the global security situation, which he believes could "end up in a World War III." According to Trump, there were supposedly no wars during his tenure, except with ISIS.

He also expressed dissatisfaction with the implementation of sanctions and said: "What we’re doing with sanctions is we’re forcing everyone away from us."

Trump accused Biden of allegedly contributing to the unification of Russia and China with Iran and North Korea.

The Republican also asserted that Taiwan should supposedly pay the US for its defense.

"Taiwan doesn’t give us anything. Taiwan is 9,500 miles away. It’s 68 miles away from China," he added.

US election

The US presidential election will take place on November 5, 2024. The main contenders for the presidency are:

  • Joe Biden, representing the Democratic Party;
  • Donald Trump, the Republican Party candidate.

Recently, the first round of debates between Trump and Biden took place in the US. The media said that during the discussions, Biden appeared quiet and uncertain, with weak arguments.

After the debates, Biden briefly reconsidered his participation in the election. However, at the insistence of his family, he decided to continue his run for the presidency.
