Trump believes that Israel should strike Iran's nuclear facilities
The US presidential candidate Donald Trump believes that Israel should strike Iran's nuclear facilities in response to the country's ballistic missile attacks this week, reports CNN.
During a campaign rally in North Carolina on Friday, October 4, Donald Trump criticized the position of current US President Joe Biden, who opposed attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities. This came after Biden was asked on Wednesday if he would support strikes against these facilities and responded negatively.
Trump commented on this incident, saying, "They asked (Biden), "What do you think about, what do you think about Iran? Would you hit Iran?" And he answered: "As long as they don’t hit the nuclear stuff." "That’s the thing you want to hit, right?"
According to the Republican candidate, Biden made a mistake.
"Isn’t that what you should hit? I mean, that’s the biggest risk we have - nuclear weapons. When he was asked this question, the answer should have been: "First, we hit the nuclear weapons, and we’ll take care of the rest later," he added.

Earlier, Trump had not commented on the escalating tensions in the Middle East. However, this week he made a sharp statement, placing the blame for the escalation on Biden and Harris. He suggested that their policies and decisions contributed to the current situation, implying that stronger actions were necessary to address the threats posed by Iran and its nuclear ambitions.
Risk of an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities
On October 1, Iran launched a massive air attack on Israel, firing approximately 180 ballistic missiles at the country. Most of the targets were intercepted by air defense systems.
The attack was reportedly in retaliation for the recent elimination of leaders of the Hezbollah and Hamas groups by the Israeli army.
In response, Israel announced its intention to strike Iranian nuclear facilities. However, the US has expressed opposition to these plans, emphasizing the need for diplomatic solutions and caution regarding further military escalation in the region.
