US President Donald Trump, along with three leaders of Middle Eastern countries, has signed a peace agreement on the Gaza Strip, CNN reports.

The agreement was signed during a peace summit in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt.

The US leader thanked his officials and aides for achieving what he called the "toughest" agreement.

"I thought this was probably going to be the toughest, and maybe in many ways it was, but we had a lot of big talent. We had an amazing array of talent, and we were helped by, in particular, the countries represented at this table," Trump said.

Meanwhile, the contents of the document have not yet been disclosed.

Final Gaza agreement

On the night of October 9, US President Donald Trump announced that Israel and Hamas had signed the first phase of the implementation of the American peace plan.

Shortly afterward, Trump added that he would travel to Egypt to sign an additional agreement.

At the same time, he clarified that the agreement had already been signed on his behalf at that point.

Notably, on October 13, it was reported that Hamas handed over to Israel all the hostages the group had been holding since October 2023.
