US President Donald Trump and Russia's Vladimir Putin may meet as early as next week. This is likely to happen on Monday, August 11, according to Fox News.
Two sources familiar with the negotiations said that the meeting is allegedly planned for next Monday, August 11, and Rome is one of the possible venues.
At the same time, Fox News notes that if the meeting takes place later this week, Rome may still be a possible venue. But other countries in Europe and beyond are also being considered.
At the same time, Russian state media are already reporting that Rome cannot be the venue for the meeting between Trump and Putin.

Fox News reporter Jacqui Heinrich said that, according to a source, a meeting between Trump and Putin is planned for the end of next week.
As the journalist wrote on X, the location of the meeting is still undecided, with Rome, Hungary, Switzerland, and the UAE on the list. According to her, Putin's first choice was Hungary, not the United Arab Emirates. Türkiye was also discussed, but this is unlikely.

The New York Times reported that a personal meeting between Trump and Putin could take place next week, followed by trilateral talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Putin's aide Yuri Ushakov confirmed the agreement between Moscow and Washington and said that the venue for the meeting had already been agreed upon. Putin later said that the meeting with Trump could take place in the United Arab Emirates.
