Some advisers to Donald Trump are urging him to declare victory in the US presidential election prematurely on the night of November 6, should he hold a substantial lead over Kamala Harris in key states, citing The Guardian.

According to the report, some in Trump’s inner circle believe he has nothing to lose by announcing victory if he has a lead of several hundred thousand votes in Pennsylvania or if closed Republican polls indicate a possible win.

However, some close to the former US president caution that if the margin in key states is narrow, Trump should refrain from making such statements.

Former White House strategist Stephen Bannon, who reportedly spoke with Trump last week, expressed this opinion, according to sources.

The Guardian notes that it is currently unknown what decision the Republican candidate has made. However, sources say that the final decision will rest solely with Trump, and if he chooses to declare himself the winner prematurely, no one will be able to dissuade him.
