Trump administration blames Ukraine’s strikes on Russia for problems in energy markets

The Trump administration believes Ukraine's long-range strikes on Russian oil refineries have had a critical impact on global energy markets, according to a statement by US Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker on Fox News.
Whitaker calls for an end to the war
The diplomat said that Russia's war against Ukraine must end. In his view, Ukraine's attacks on Russia have disrupted energy markets.
"Certainly, taking capacity out of the global energy markets - like is what happened as Ukrainians strike Russia - has put pressure on diesel and oil generally. And that war needs to end," he said.
Trump on Ukraine's strikes on Russia
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that US President Donald Trump again claimed that fuel prices are rising because of Ukraine's strikes on Russian oil refineries. In this regard, he said he had asked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to stop the attacks.
Trump also said that Ukraine should stop striking Russian infrastructure because this is contributing to a global diesel fuel shortage. According to the US president, Zelenskyy should change his tactics.
In addition, the Kremlin revealed new details of US President Donald Trump's phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin on September 8. Trump promised "impressive and far-reaching" prospects for trade between the US and Russia in exchange for a swift end to the war.
