Trump accuses Iran of disrupting peace talks between Israel and Hamas

Iran interfered in the latest ceasefire talks by sending signals to Hamas, US President Donald Trump says.
During a meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Trump accused Iran of interfering in negotiations to end the war in the Gaza Strip.
"Iran’s been sending out bad signals, I’ll tell you. For a country that just got wiped out, they’ve been sending very bad signals, very nasty signals. And they shouldn’t be doing that," Trump said.
He also referred to the recent appearance of the Iranian foreign minister on a television program.
"And I think they got involved in this negotiation, telling Hamas and giving Hamas signals and orders, and that’s not good. That’s not good," Trump said.
Israel's negotiations with Hamas
On July 28, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham said that negotiations with Hamas have no prospects because they are religious Nazis who want to destroy Israel.
Trump said that, given the failure of the negotiations, Israel will have to decide on further steps in the Gaza Strip.
Earlier, the Israeli government called Hamas' conditions for the release of hostages unacceptable.
