Legendary American rapper and producer Timothy Zachary Mosley, better known as Timbaland, has arrived in Russia to perform at a corporate event for a huge fee, according to Russian media.

Why Timbaland went to Russia

According to sources from propaganda media, Timbaland came to Russia “to take part in a private event.”

At the airport, Mosley was greeted with a motorcade of luxury cars, including a Mercedes V-Class, a Range Rover, and a Maybach. He was then accommodated in a "special" room at the Radisson hotel.

According to sources, the American musician's fee for the performance is $500,000.

The artist's visit caused a stir on social media, with many commenting that Mosley, long known for championing music and global projects, seems to have put his reputation aside in exchange for a big paycheck.

Some also suggest that he may currently be "having financial difficulties."

What Timbaland is known for

Mosley is an American music producer, rapper, and composer considered one of the most influential architects of the modern pop and R&B sound of the early 2000s. He is a four-time Grammy Award winner.

Timbaland gained fame for his innovative and signature production style, characterized by unusual, syncopated, and "broken" rhythms, the use of unconventional sounds (from a baby crying to motorcycle noises), and minimalist yet deep bass lines. His style became synonymous with an entire musical era.

One of his key achievements was creating stars: he was the main architect behind the sounds of Missy Elliott and Aaliyah, helping them become iconic R&B figures.

He also played a decisive role in Justin Timberlake's career, producing his most successful solo albums, like "FutureSex/LoveSounds" and "The 20/20 Experience," which defined global pop music for a decade.

Additionally, he created a number of global hits for Nelly Furtado ("Promiscuous," "Say It Right") and collaborated with major artists, such as 50 Cent ("Ayo Technology"), Madonna ("4 Minutes"), and OneRepublic ("Apologize").

There is no public information about his support for Ukraine or participation in charitable initiatives.
