The US is preparing a deal that could change the fate of TikTok. The document paves the way for transferring control of the app to American companies, according to NBC News.

On Thursday, an executive order was signed to initiate the process of transferring a controlling stake in TikTok to US investors. It was emphasized that China’s participation is required for the deal to be finalized.

"This is going to be American-operated all the way," was stated during the signing. Thanks were also extended to the Chinese side for supporting the process, which was necessary to finalize the agreement.

Who will be part of the investors

The full list of participants in the deal has not yet been disclosed. However, it was noted that Oracle Corporation and its co-founder, Larry Ellison, will play a key role.

Other figures mentioned include entrepreneur Michael Dell and media mogul Rupert Murdoch. Vice President JD Vance added that additional details will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Control over TikTok algorithms

One of the conditions of the deal will be US control over the algorithm that generates content recommendations for users. According to Vance, this will allow the US to influence key processes within the platform.

When asked about the possibility of increasing political influence through the algorithms, he responded that user preferences will be taken into account, but the approach will remain balanced.

"No, everyone’s going to be treated fairly. Every group, every philosophy, every policy will be treated very fairly," Trump said.

Donald Trump stated that Russia must end its aggressive war against Ukraine, emphasizing that Moscow continues senseless killings while achieving almost no territorial gains.

The US president also expressed support for Ukraine’s right to retaliate against Russian attacks, including strikes on energy infrastructure.
