Almost everything trendy in 2025 remains in style for the new year. However, two popular trends that many people love will need to be left behind.
Ukrainian stylist Halyna Denysiuk shares more details on clothing items that are no longer in style.
2026 anti-trends
According to the expert, tight skinny jeans are gradually going out of fashion.
At the same time, the stylist emphasizes that if a piece remains comfortable and a favorite, it can be adapted to a current look.
''If you like it and it’s comfortable, keep it, add accessories, and you’ll have a stylish look. It works well with high boots with a wide shaft, '' Halyna explains.

Another 2026 anti-trend is oversized clothing, which has long dominated wardrobes. Instead, more tailored silhouettes that highlight the figure are in fashion.
''Oversized pieces are not coming back. We really like them, but let’s leave them in the closet. We’ll opt for more tailored silhouettes and showcase our femininity,'' the stylist explains.

At the same time, Denysiuk emphasizes that this doesn’t mean giving up on all voluminous clothing.
''This doesn’t mean we completely stop wearing oversized pieces. You can wear palazzo pants, for example, but pair them with a jacket that highlights your waist,'' she advises.
According to her, the key for 2026 is balancing volume and structure in an outfit, creating a silhouette that looks feminine without being overloaded.
