Three people were injured in a massive drone and missile attack on the Kyiv region, according to Kyiv regional administration head Mykola Kalashnyk.

According to the regional administration head, in the Vyshhorod district, a 46-year-old woman was hospitalised with shrapnel injuries to her arm, chest and back, as well as a closed cervical spine injury.

Another woman, aged 40, sustained a laceration to her cheek. She received medical assistance on site and did not require hospitalisation.

In Fastiv, a 42-year-old man was wounded, suffering a laceration to his left shin. He also did not require hospitalisation.

All necessary medical care has been provided to the injured, Mykola Kalashnyk assured.

"Russian attack continues. I urge all residents of the region to stay in safe places. Take care of yourselves and your loved ones," the Kyiv regional administration head wrote.

Consequences of attack on Kyiv region

On the night of 6 December, Russian forces launched a massive attack on Ukraine with drones, ballistic missiles and Kinzhal missiles.

Explosions were heard in Kyiv during the combined strike. Local authorities reported active air defence, while the Air Force confirmed Kinzhal and ballistic trajectories heading toward the capital.

Strikes were reported in Fastiv. According to Ukrzaliznytsia, railway infrastructure was hit, forcing the rapid rerouting of passenger trains scheduled to pass through Fastiv.

There were likely strikes on the railway station in Fastiv, and reports of large fires in Novi Petrivtsi near Kyiv.

Acting head of Dnipropetrovsk regional administration Vladyslav Haivanenko also reported massive strikes. According to him, Dnipro and the region came under attack.
