Kyiv is under a combined missile attack, and air defence is operating, according to the Ukrainian Air Force and Kyiv Military Administration head Tymur Tkachenko.

"Air defence is operating in the capital. Stay in shelters. The city is under enemy attack," warned the head of the Kyiv Military Administration.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported high-speed targets heading toward the Kyiv region.

During the night of 6 December, a large-scale air raid alert was declared across Ukraine after the takeoff of a MiG-31K. The entire country turned "red."

Shortly afterwards, the Air Force and monitoring channels reported a ballistic and Kinzhal missile attack.

Massive attack on Kyiv on 29 November

During the night of 29 November, Russia launched a massive combined strike on Ukraine and Kyiv. More than 30 missiles and nearly 600 drones were fired in total.

The attack lasted all night and into the morning: around 1 AM, the capital came under ballistic missile strikes, and after 6:30 AM, cruise missiles flew toward Kyiv, attacking the city from all directions.

Around 7 AM, carriers of Kinzhal aero-ballistic missiles took off and also struck near the capital.

Initially, two fatalities were reported, with information on casualties updated throughout the day.

Damage was recorded in nearly all districts of the capital. Parts of Kyiv were left without electricity, and the right bank experienced water supply issues. Fires in various parts of the city were fully extinguished by midday.
