This has to stop - Vance scared with apocalyptic consequences of Ukraine war

US Vice President JD Vance is convinced that the ongoing war could lead to a demographic collapse, a nuclear strike, and irreparable losses for Ukraine, according to an interview with the politician on the online show of Charlie Kirk.
In his view, if the war is not stopped soon, Ukrainians will not be able to win it.
"I think there is this weird idea among mainstream media that if this goes on for just another few years, the Russians will collapse, the Ukrainians with take their territory back, and everything will go back to the way it was before the war. That is not the reality that we live in," Vance said.
He also added that a few more years of this war would lead to the collapse of society because “the demographics of both these countries (Ukraine and Russia) are a nightmare.”
"You could have millions of people killed if this thing goes on for another few years, and it could risk escalating to a nuclear war. This has to stop. The policy of the administration (Trump’s administration) that it stops, and I guarantee that the president is having all of his people, including me, work really hard for this to end," Vance added.
Peace talks on Ukraine war
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and US President Donald Trump held brief talks on April 26 at a ceremony for the funeral of Pope Francis in the Vatican.
Following their meeting, Trump noted that Vladimir Putin is not seeking to end the war in Ukraine and is dragging out the time, and he did not rule out the introduction of a new package of anti-Russian sanctions.
The White House stated that Trump demands a complete ceasefire, but emphasized that it is difficult.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the negotiation format for meetings in London and Paris will continue to function.
