What is known

In the state of Pennsylvania, on July 13, an assassination attempt was made on the American presidential candidate Donald Trump during a rally.

After the shots were fired, he touched his ear and then sat on the ground. A small amount of blood was visible on his face. The US Secret Service removed the politician from the stage, after which he was evacuated to a medical facility.

Later, in his social network Truth Social, Donald Trump stated that he was wounded in the upper part of his right ear. Meanwhile, his representatives noted that the politician is "fine" and his life is not in danger.

According to American media, the shooter who fired at Trump was likely on the roof outside the rally venue. It is reported that he was killed by Secret Service agents.

At least one Trump supporter died at the rally, and two others are in critical condition.

President Joe Biden stated that there is no place for such violence in America and called on the entire country to condemn this act. At the same time, he mentioned that he cannot yet call the shooting at Trump's rally an assassination attempt.

Biden noted that he is glad to hear that Trump is okay. Following this, the White House reported that President Biden had a conversation with Donald Trump, but the details of the conversation were not disclosed.

According to media reports, the FBI will lead the investigation into the assassination attempt on Trump. Law enforcement officers found an AR-type rifle at the rally site.
