'The only way out for Russians is to flee': Ukrainian intelligence on situation in Crimea
Tensions continue to escalate among the Russian terrorists in Crimea, especially after the Ukrainian Security and Defense Forces' operation "Crab Trap," according to the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Andrii Cherniak.
The Crab Trap operation has yielded significant results. Following the attack on the Russian Black Sea Fleet headquarters, there has been a high level of activity involving ambulances, fire trucks, and hearses. Consequently, the situation for the occupiers in Crimea is increasingly dire, and it will remain so for the Russians wherever they attempt to conceal the remnants of their ships, headquarters, or any other occupation-related facilities," Cherniak stated.
According to the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate, intelligence agencies are monitoring all movements of Russian terrorists in Crimea, and Ukraine's Armed Forces are utilizing this intelligence. In light of this, as Cherniak said, the only safe option for the occupiers in Crimea is to relocate along with their rusty junk away from the peninsula.
List of priority targets
Commenting on the recurring explosions on Russian territory, Cherniak reminded of the list of priority military targets that are subject to strikes.
"Point by point, this list is getting marked with indications of effective attacks or the necessity for more vigorous strikes," explained the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate.
Code names for special operations
Code names for special operations are typically assigned by executing officers. According to Cherniak, each name is intended to emphasize the significance and symbolism of the operation.
"For instance, the special operation conducted by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine in Crimea on August 24 of this year was named 'Awakening of Power.' For the first time in ten years of Russian subjugation of Crimea, special forces reconnaissance units installed the Ukrainian flag, reminding all our citizens under occupation that freedom and the light of Ukrainian Jedi swords are close at hand. It's time for the resistance movement to awaken on the peninsula," added the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate.
Crab Trap
On September 22, a strike was carried out on the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol. Videos showed smoke and significant damage to the building. After some time, the Office of Strategic Communications of the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed that Ukrainian soldiers were responsible for the attack.
As previously reported by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Kyrylo Budanov, at least 9 individuals were eliminated during the operation, and 16 terrorists were injured.
