'The only suitable place': Orbán boasts that he will host Trump–Putin summit

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán stated that Budapest is supposedly the only place in Europe suitable for hosting a summit between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"Budapest is the only suitable place in Europe for a USA–Russia peace summit. With long-standing pro-peace leadership and trusted partnerships, we provide a reliable, secure, and politically stable setting. There was no other option. Simply put: they can count on us!" he wrote.
At the same time, Orbán attached a propaganda video to the post, which, in his view, is meant to demonstrate the "peacefulness" of pro-Russian Hungary.

On October 16, US President Donald Trump, following a conversation with Putin, announced a new summit with the Russian leader. Over the next two weeks, Trump and Putin are expected to meet in Budapest.
Hungary’s pro-Russian government minister and foreign minister, Péter Szijjártó, has already announced the start of preparations for the US president’s meeting with the Russian leader in Budapest. At the same time, Hungary plans to ignore the International Criminal Court’s arrest warrant for Putin.
Meanwhile, the EU stated that the sanctions imposed on Russia allegedly do not prevent Putin or Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov from crossing the borders of member states. Germany, however, expressed strong skepticism about the upcoming summit.
