Trump drops timeline for new meeting with Putin

US President Donald Trump said he plans to meet with Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin within the next two weeks, according to the Clash Report.
When asked by reporters if he had a meeting scheduled with Putin, Trump replied:
"Within two weeks or so, pretty quick," the US president said.

On Thursday, October 16, Donald Trump held a phone call with Vladimir Putin. Following the conversation, both sides agreed that a high-level advisors’ meeting would take place next week.
In addition, Trump announced a new summit with Putin in Budapest to discuss the possibility of ending Russia’s disgraceful war against Ukraine.
He also said that on Friday, during his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, he would discuss his recent conversation with Putin.
“President Zelenskyy and I will be meeting tomorrow, in the Oval Office, where we will discuss my conversation with President Putin, and much more. I believe great progress was made with today’s telephone conversation,” Trump wrote on social media.
Later that evening, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said he had also spoken with Trump. He reported that preparations for the peace summit are underway.
