'The blood of our people has a price': Israel confirms elimination of Hezbollah commander
The Israeli Defense Forces have killed a senior commander of the Hezbollah group, Fuad Shukr, in a strike on Beirut, according to Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
As a result of a targeted strike in Beirut, Hezbollah military commander Fuad Shukr, also known as ‘Sayyid’ Muhsan was killed. He was the head of the group's strategic unit.
The IDF says the commander was a senior military adviser to Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. According to the Israeli army, he was responsible for Hezbollah's modern weapons, including various types of missiles and drones.
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant confirmed the elimination of Fuad Shukr.
“Fuad Shukr ‘Sayyid’ Muhsan has the blood of many Israelis on his hands. Tonight, we have shown that the blood of our people has a price, and that there is no place out of reach for our forces to this end,” the minister said.

On July 27, Hezbollah attacked a stadium in the Golan Heights in Israel. At the time of the attack, there were children in the stadium. The attack killed more than 10 children and injured more than 30 others.
Israel said that the Hezbollah attack would not go unanswered and warned Lebanon of a war that could be “devastating.”
