Drones from five Lithuanian companies have been successfully tested in Ukraine. Now it is planned to sign contracts with the manufacturers, according to the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense.

According to the Ministry, repeated tests of drones from five Lithuanian manufacturers took place in Ukraine under conditions similar to combat use. During the tests, the drones were improved in accordance with the comments of the Ukrainian side after the first tests.

Now the Lithuanian manufacturers who participated in the tests will be invited to submit final proposals and may be awarded contracts.

"Ukrainians are sharing their experience of using drones on the battlefield, testing drones from our manufacturers, and then, having chosen the most suitable options, they will sign contracts with the manufacturing companies. This is a great incentive and a big step forward for our drone manufacturers," said Lithuanian Defense Minister Laurynas Kasčiūnas.

It is also reported that drones made by Lithuanian manufacturers will be transferred to support Ukraine with a total value of 5 million euros, and the same drones will be purchased for the Lithuanian army for 3 million euros.

Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that in Lithuania, volunteers and Grybauskaite started raising funds for drones for Ukraine.
