Terror suspect caught in Odesa trying to flee by train

Ukrainian police officers together with the Security Service (SBU) personnel identified the suspect in the Odesa terrorist attack within a few hours, the National Police of Ukraine reports.
In the course of carrying out comprehensive investigative and operational measures, law enforcement officers together with SBU personnel established within a few hours that a 22-year-old resident of Zaporizhzhia was involved in the crime.
According to preliminary information from law enforcement, the individual received a criminal order from an enemy handler via messenger, arrived in Odesa the day before, and on command hid a bag with explosives under the chosen vehicle for its further remote detonation.
For his work, the perpetrator was supposed to receive a monetary reward; however, he was left without the promised money and was detained by law enforcement at the railway station in Odesa, from where he planned to flee to his hometown.
Their reports indicate that the maximum punishment the suspect faces is up to twelve years with confiscation of property.
This morning in Odesa, an Opel car exploded. Due to the explosion, a 30-year-old man who was inside the vehicle was injured.
Paramedics hospitalized the victim with multiple injuries.
Following the explosion, employees of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Odesa region initiated criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, particularly a terrorist act.
According to local media, the victim is allegedly a serviceman, and the car was blown up as soon as the man sat inside.
