Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gave his first public comments on the agreement with Hamas, which will come into force tomorrow. He called the first stage of the document on the release of hostages a "temporary ceasefire," The Times of Israel reports.

In particular, Netanyahu said that US President-elect Donald Trump and US President Joe Biden had emphasized that Israel could resume hostilities in Gaza if the next stages of the agreement are not implemented.

The Prime Minister emphasized that Israel will not rest until "all of its war goals are completed." This includes the return of all hostages held in Gaza.

Netanyahu also added that the United States has promised his country to provide the weapons necessary to resume hostilities if necessary. According to the prime minister, this will be done "in new ways and with very great power."

A few hours ago, Netanyahu's office said that Hamas has not yet provided the lists of hostages it will release. However, the agreement says that the group is obliged to provide the names no later than 24 hours before their release, which was supposed to take place tomorrow at 4 p.m. local time.

In response, Prime Minister Netanyahu said the delay could delay the ceasefire.
