Taylor Swift endorses Kamala Harris in US election

The famous American singer Taylor Swift has announced her support for Vice President Kamala Harris in the upcoming presidential election. According to Swift's Instagram and NBC News, the pop star chose her favorite after today's debate in Philadelphia.
According to the 34-year-old artist and winner of more than ten Grammy awards, Democratic candidate Harris is a solid talented leader.
“I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election,” Swift writes in her post.
The star's post was shared online with more than 283 million of her followers. At the time of publication, Swift's post had almost 3 million Likes.

Swift explains that she would vote for Harris because she fights for rights and causes that I think take a warrior to stand up for.
“I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos. I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate Tim Walz, who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades,” she says.
Swift signed her post 'Childless Cat Lady', which is a reference to the language used by Trump's running mate, Senator J.D, Vance of Ohio, to describe women who do not have children.
As two presidential campaign officials told NBC News, Swift's endorsement came as a surprise to Harris' campaign.
“The campaign views the singer's backing as part of a "decisive victory" for the vice president on the debate stage and speaks to her ability to attract support, one of the officials said,” NBC writes.
During the 2020 presidential election, Swift supported President Joe Biden and Harris.
Last year, the American magazine Time named Taylor Swift 'Person of the Year'. Earlier, the magazine's editorial board chose Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the Ukrainian spirit as the main person of 2022.
