Over the past 24 hours, Russians have increased the intensity of attacks using armored vehicles in the Tavria direction, according to the Brigadier General, Commander of the Tavria Operational and Strategic Group of Troops, Oleksandr Tarnavskyi.

Over the past day, the enemy launched 20 air strikes, fought 49 combat engagements, and carried out 919 artillery attacks.

"Our defenders are steadfastly holding the line and conducting active operations in the designated areas," Tarnavskyi writes.

Total enemy losses over the last day amounted to:

  • 386 Russians;
  • 8 tanks;
  • 7 armored personnel carriers;
  • 14 artillery systems;
  • 1 air defense system;
  • 27 UAVs;
  • 5 vehicles;
  • 4 units of special equipment.

Two enemy ammunition depots were also destroyed.

Russian losses in Ukraine

As of Tuesday morning, January 16, Russia's losses in the war in Ukraine amounted to 1,100 occupants, bringing the total number of Russian army losses since the beginning of the invasion to 372,090. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 36 armored personnel carriers, 33 enemy vehicles, 30 artillery systems, and 24 tanks.
