Tavria front update: Over 500 Russians and tanks eliminated

During the past 24 hours on December 22, Ukrainian soldiers eliminated another 499 Russian terrorists on the Tavria front, according to the Joint Press Center of the Tavria Defense Forces.
In total, the enemy:
- carried out 13 airstrikes;
- conducted 46 combat engagements;
- carried out 924 artillery barrages.
Avdiivka direction
Defensive forces repelled 23 enemy attacks east of Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, and Avdiivka, as well as 17 attacks in the areas of Pervomaiske and Nevelske in the Donetsk region.
Maryinka direction
The defensive forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of Maryinka and Pobeda in the Donetsk region, where 4 attacks were repelled.
Shakhtarsk direction
Our defenders repelled an enemy attack west of Staromayorske in the Donetsk region.
Zaporizhzhia direction
The defensive forces successfully repelled all enemy attacks west of Verbovе and Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Achievements of Ukrainian soldiers
"In the Melitopol direction, the Ukrainian Defensive Forces continue active operations, inflicting losses on the occupying forces in personnel and equipment, and wearing down the enemy along the entire front line," the press service writes.
The enemy's losses amounted to 499 Russian. Also, 37 units of enemy equipment were destroyed, including:
- 2 tanks;
- 11 armored personnel carriers;
- 8 artillery systems;
- 1 ATGMS;
- 14 vehicles;
- 1 unit of special equipment - long-range visual surveillance complex "Murom-M";
- 1 warehouse of ammunition.
"Another 34 units of enemy equipment were damaged," the press service adds.
Russia's losses in the war
According to the data of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, during the past day, December 22, Ukrainian soldiers eliminated another 1,040 occupiers. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russia has lost 352,390 troops.
