Tavria front update: Over 400 Russians and 23 equipment units eliminated

Ukrainian defenders eliminated over 400 Russians in the Tavria direction over the last day. The Ukrainian Armed Forces also destroyed 23 units of enemy military equipment, according to the Joint Press Center of the Tavria Defense Forces.
In total, Russian troops carried out 15 air strikes in the Tavria direction, engaged in 76 combat engagements, and fired 631 artillery rounds.
In the area of responsibility of the Tavria Operational Strategic Group of troops in the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy, who keeps trying to encircle Avdiivka. Ukrainian soldiers are steadfastly holding the line, inflicting significant losses on the occupiers.
Thus, the Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully repelled 23 enemy attacks east of Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, and Avdiivka and another 22 attacks south of Severne, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske in the Donetsk region.
In the Maryinka direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding back the enemy near Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region. Our defenders successfully repelled 17 attacks here.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, the Russians did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the Defense Forces repelled nine enemy attacks north of Pryiutne, west and northwest of Verbove in the Zaporizhzhia region.
At the same time, in the Melitopol direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to inflict losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, depleting the enemy along the entire front line.
Russian losses
Total enemy losses amounted to 414 Russians.
Ukrainian soldiers also destroyed 23 units of military equipment, including:
- 1 tank;
- 10 armored personnel carriers;
- 2 artillery systems;
- 3 ATGMS;
- 1 UAV;
- 4 vehicles;
- 2 units of special equipment;
- 2 ammunition depots.
In addition, another 20 units of enemy equipment were damaged.
The situation at the frontline
According to a report by the Institute for the Study of War, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to conduct offensive and defensive operations. The Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled a total of 45 Russian attacks in the Avdiivka direction. Ukrainian forces also continue to hold positions on the left bank of the Kherson region.
Russia's losses in the war in Ukraine as of the morning of Friday, December 15, amount to 1,090 troops, bringing the total number of Russian army losses since the beginning of the invasion to approximately 343,890. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 38 armored combat vehicles, 24 cars, and 20 drones.
