Russia's losses in Ukraine as of December 15: Near 1100 troops and 14 tanks
Russia's losses in the war against Ukraine as of Friday morning, December 15, amounted to 1,090 troops, bringing the total number of Russian army losses since the beginning of the invasion to approximately 343,890. In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 38 armored combat vehicles, 24 cars, and 20 drones, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat losses of the enemy from 24.02.22 to 15.12.23 are estimated to be:
- personnel - about 343,890 (+1090) people were killed;
- tanks - 5706 (+14) units;
- armored combat vehicles - 10654 (+38) units;
- artillery systems - 8099 (+11) units;
- MLRS - 920 units;
- air defense systems - 605 units;
- airplanes - 324 units;
- helicopters - 324 units;
- UAVs of operational and tactical level - 6226 (+20) units;
- cruise missiles - 1608 (+2) units;
- ships/boats - 22 units;
- submarines - 1 unit;
- motor vehicles and tankers - 10,699 (+24) units;
- special equipment - 1189 (+4) units.
The situation at the frontline
There were 110 combat engagements on the last day. In particular, according to the Institute of War Studies, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct offensive and defensive actions. The Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled a total of 45 Russian attacks in the Avdiivka direction. Ukrainian forces also continue to hold positions on the left bank of the Kherson region.
