Tavria front update: Around 400 Russians and 200 UAVs eliminated

Over the past day, Ukrainian troops eliminated almost 400 Russian occupants in the Tavria direction. The Ukrainian Armed Forces also destroyed 54 units of military equipment and 200 enemy UAVs of various types, according to the Joint Press Center of the Tavria Defense Forces.
In total, Russians conducted 39 air strikes in the Tavria direction, engaged in 36 combat engagements, and fired 919 artillery rounds.
In the operational area of the Tavria Operational and Strategic Group of Troops in the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy, who keeps trying to encircle Avdiivka.
Our soldiers are steadfastly holding the line, inflicting significant losses on the Russian invaders. Thus, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 5 enemy attacks in the areas of Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, and Avdiivka and 11 more attacks near Pervomaiske and Nevelske in the Donetsk region over the past day.
In the Maryinka direction, the enemy is being held back near Heorhiivka and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region, where 16 attacks were repelled.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 4 enemy attacks south of Chervone, west of Verbove, and Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Enemy losses
The total losses of the Russian army in manpower amounted to 394 occupiers.
Ukrainian soldiers also destroyed 54 pieces of enemy military equipment, including:
- 5 tanks;
- 14 armored personnel carriers;
- 15 artillery systems
- 1 MLRS;
- 1 air defense system;
- 16 vehicles;
- 2 units of special equipment.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed an ammunition depot, a fuel and lubricant depot, and another important enemy facility.
In addition, 200 different enemy UAVs were neutralized or destroyed.
Frontline situation
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 56 combat engagements took place at the frontline. In total, the enemy launched 48 missile and 112 air strikes. Ukrainian defenders continued to expand their foothold in the Kherson direction.
In particular, according to the Institute for War Studies, positional fighting continue:
- northwest of Avdiivka in the area of Novobakhmutivka and Stepove;
- west of Avdiivka in the area of Pivnichne;
- south of Avdiivka in the area of Opytne;
- south-west of Avdiivka in the area of Pervomaiske and Nevelske;
- in the area of Avdiivka itself.
Russia's losses in the war against Ukraine as of Wednesday morning, January 24, amounted to 840 occupants, bringing the total number of Russian army losses since the beginning of the invasion to almost 378,660. In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 61 artillery systems, 49 vehicles, and 37 drones.
