Tavria front update: Around 100 equipment units and 400 Russians eliminated

Ukrainian troops eliminated almost 400 more Russian occupants in the Tauride sector over the last day. The Ukrainian Armed Forces also destroyed 97 pieces of enemy military equipment, according to the Joint Press Center of the Tavria Defense Forces.
In total, Russians carried out 18 air strikes in the Tavria direction, conducted 29 combat engagements, and fired 930 artillery rounds.
The threat of the enemy using missile weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles against military and civilian infrastructure remains high.
In the area of responsibility of the Tavria Operational and Strategic Group of Troops in the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy, who keeps trying to encircle Avdiivka.
Our soldiers are steadfastly holding the line, inflicting significant losses on the invaders. Thus, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 5 occupants' attacks in the areas of Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, and Avdiivka and 12 more attacks south of Severne, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske in the Donetsk region over the past day.
In the Maryinka direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of Heorhiivka and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region, where 5 attacks were repelled.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, our defenders repelled 7 enemy attacks west of Verbove and Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Enemy losses
The total losses of the Russian army in manpower amounted to 399 occupiers.
Ukrainian soldiers also destroyed 97 pieces of enemy military equipment, including:
- 7 tanks;
- 18 armored personnel carriers;
- 13 artillery systems
- 1 anti-tank missile system;
- 1 easel-mounted anti-tank grenade launcher;
- 37 UAVs;
- 17 vehicles;
- 3 units of special equipment.
In addition, the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed an enemy ammunition depot and one important enemy facility.
Frontline situation
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian troops continue to expand their foothold in the Kherson direction and hold back the enemy in the Donetsk region. There were 68 combat engagements over the past day.
Russia's losses in the war against Ukraine as of Monday morning, January 22, amounted to 830 occupants, bringing the total number of Russian army losses since the beginning of the invasion to 376,860. In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 11 tanks, 23 armored personnel carriers, and 21 artillery systems.
