Sweden summoned the Russian ambassador to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs over the massive shelling of the territory of Ukraine on the night of August 28, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sweden.

"Sweden summoned the Russian ambassador to express protest against Russia’s constant attacks on Ukrainian cities and civilians," the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reads.

The statement on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also informs that Sweden, during the meeting, wanted to emphasize Russia’s obligation to protect civilians and civilian infrastructure in accordance with international humanitarian law.

Strike of the Russian Federation on Ukraine on August 28

On the night of August 28, Russia carried out the most massive strike on Ukraine in recent times, launching more than 600 various drones and missiles that flew from all directions.

The main vector of the strike fell on the capital. As a result of the attack, buildings were damaged in eight districts of the capital, which happened for the first time since the beginning of the invasion.

The most difficult situation was observed in the Darnytskyi district, since the cynical strike hit a five-story residential building.
