Swedish CV-90 IFVs to be manufactured in Ukraine: Zelenskyy states

Ukraine and Sweden have agreed on the production and maintenance of the CV-90 Infantry Fighting Vehicles within our country's territory, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this, cited a joint press conference with the Prime Minister of Sweden, Ulf Kristersson.
"Today we detailed the agreement on the production of CV-90 in Ukraine, as well as its maintenance and more. We will do everything possible to ensure that the first CV-90 produced in Ukraine emerges as quickly as possible," he states.
In turn, the Swedish Prime Minister adds that Kyiv and Stockholm have signed an agreement to enhance cooperation in the production and training on CV-90.
"We have just signed (the agreement - Ed.), literally a few minutes ago, it is a sign of our joint desire to strengthen cooperation in the production and training on CV-90," Kristersson said.
Furthermore, Zelenskyy adds that during his visit to the frontlines, Ukrainian soldiers praised the Swedish CV-90 Infantry Fighting Vehicles.

An armored infantry fighting vehicle. Sweden strengthens the CV 9040C with armor modules from the German company IBD Deisenroth Engineering. With an add-on composite armor (ceramic elements) kit, starting from the CV 9040B modification and onward, protection against 30mm armor-piercing projectiles is ensured.
The protective AMAP kit includes passive armor add-on modules for the hull and turret, as well as mine protection located under the armored hull. In addition to passive protection, the CV 9040C uses the Barracuda camouflage system, developed by the Swedish company Barracuda Company.
