Sweating during workouts: Trainer dispels common myth
Many people believe in the myth that sweating a lot during workouts leads to weight loss. However, this is not true, says trainer Viktor Mandziak.
What to know about workouts
According to Viktor, there's no need to dress warmly during workouts, trying to sweat excessively.
The body produces sweat to dissipate excess heat, preventing overheating.
"This is a misconception - an illusion about sweating during workouts," Mandziak says.
Of course, if you're exercising in a warm environment and wearing warm clothing, you'll sweat more than someone dressed comfortably.
"Sweating has no significance for body weight; don't focus on it at all," the expert advises.
