Former Ukrainian MP from the banned Ukraine party "Opposition Platform - For Life" Vadim Rabinovich will be declared wanted due to suspicion of state treason, as reported in the statement of Tetiana Sapiyan, the communication advisor of the State Bureau of Investigations, during a televised marathon.

According to her words, the investigation informed the former deputy about the suspicion through the appropriate legal request for international legal assistance to the state of Israel. Thus, Ukraine knows that Rabinovich is on the territory of that country.

"We have requested legal assistance and thus handed him the suspicion. The next stages are imposition a preventive measure and declaring him wanted," Sapiyan said.

Suspicions against Rabinovich

It was announced today, on July 26, that Rabinovich has been charged with state treason. This is because the former MP spread anti-Ukrainian propaganda among the population and political leadership of the European Union countries.

According to the State Bureau of Investigations, such actions of the former Ukrainian official helped the Russians achieve their military goals.

Currently, Rabinovich faces up to 15 years in prison with property confiscation.
