FBI officials reported that the suspected killer of Charlie Kirk lived with a transgender partner who is cooperating with the FBI, according to Fox News.

Representatives of the Federal Bureau of Investigation confirmed that 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, suspected of murdering Kirk, was in a romantic relationship with an unnamed individual, a person transitioning from male to female.

They lived together in an apartment in St. George, Utah. This residence is located about a four-hour drive from Utah Valley University in Orem, where Kirk was shot.

An FBI official stated that this individual showed an extraordinary willingness to cooperate and said they did not know of Robinson’s plans.

This person is not being accused of any criminal activity related to the murder.

FBI representatives said that Bureau detectives had text messages and other evidence of communication between Robinson and his partner, which helped focus the investigation on Robinson. The FBI also seized evidence from their apartment, including computers.

What is known about the suspect

Tyler James Robinson was a third-year student in the electrician training program at Dixie Technical College in St. George.

According to authorities, he confessed to a family member. His confession came to light after a relative informed a family acquaintance, who then passed the information to law enforcement.

He has been charged with three counts: murder with aggravating circumstances, obstruction of justice, and unlawful possession of a weapon. If convicted of the first charge, the court could impose the death penalty or life imprisonment.

On Wednesday, September 10, well-known right-wing activist Charlie Kirk was shot during a discussion at Utah Valley University. He sustained a gunshot wound at the event and died at the scene.
