Survey shows ratings of Harris and Trump in crucial state of Pennsylvania
According to a new poll, US Vice President Kamala Harris leads former President Donald Trump by 2% in the crucial swing state of Pennsylvania, reports Politico.
A poll conducted by a bipartisan team for AARP revealed that Harris is garnering 49% of the likely voter support, while Trump trails at 47%, with 3% undecided.
Conducted from September 17 to 24 via phone and online messaging, this is the first AARP poll in the state following President Joe Biden's withdrawal from the race.
Trump holds a lead over Harris only among voters aged 65 and older, who identified inflation and high prices as their primary concerns.
Retrospectively, 50% of likely voters approve of Trump's performance as president, while 49% disapprove. In contrast, 45% approve of Harris's work as vice president, and 52% disapprove. The sociologists conducting the poll noted that this contradicts their popularity, where Trump lags behind by 7 percentage points.
Harris leads among women by 19 points, while Trump surpasses her among men by 16 points.
Bloomberg News/Morning Consult poll released on September 26 indicated that Harris slightly leads Trump in six key states.
