Russia, following the meeting between President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump, has intensified its attacks on Ukraine. This proves that Moscow does not want peace, states Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski at a press conference with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.

"The intensification of Russian attacks after the Alaska summit shows that Moscow is not ready to build peace. It is not ready to accept a ceasefire that Ukraine is prepared for," Sikorski said.

He noted that it is painful for Poles to see the innocent people of Ukraine continue to suffer.

"But we will not abandon our allies, and therefore we are ready to expand our cooperation," the minister assured.

Russia intensifies strikes

Following the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump in Alaska, Russia has resumed regular, large-scale attacks on Ukraine.

In particular, Russian attacks have repeatedly led to the deaths of peaceful Ukrainian civilians.

For example, on the night of August 28, the Russian army struck a residential building in Kyiv, killing more than 20 people.

Recently, Russia also attacked the village of Yarova in the Donetsk region with an aerial bomb. The enemy targeted a location where pensions were being distributed to elderly residents, resulting in dozens of deaths.
