In Sumy, four people have been confirmed dead as a result of the Russian attack. A 43-year-old man died in the hospital, according to the Sumy Regional Military Administration.

"A 43-year-old man in critical condition has died in the hospital. His 7-year-old daughter was severely injured," the administration stated.

Officials extended their condolences to the family and loved ones.

Sumy attack

On the morning of June 3, Russian forces struck the city center of Sumy. One of the targets of the attack was civilian transport.

Later, it was reported that three people had been killed in the Russian strike. Another 16 were injured, including four children.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the attack an act of brutality. According to him, in one of the apartment buildings, a shell pierced the wall but did not explode.

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health, the number of injured has increased to 25.
